Meet Eric

ERIC LEE USHER, author of “Pledging For Success” has a passion for helping young adults achieve their goals.  He understands what it means to fail and what it takes to succeed. He understands the complexities of being a young adult and what to say to inspire youth to become their best selves.

 

He believes that anything can be accomplished once you have a clear vision and the reliable resources to help execute that vision.  Usher has been a budding Entrepreneur since the age of 14. (Land Scaping & Lawn Care) As a matter of fact, his first business was so successful, he had to hire and train his siblings to meet the ever increasing demands of his clients. How’s that for a strong start?

 

By the age of 21, Eric became a top producing Insurance Agent at an Independant Agency  in the States of Georgia, Texas, and Louisiana. His sales success landed him the position of Partner and Sales Trainer. This lead to his relocating and opening an Insurance office in downtown Houston. Unfortunately, fast un-checked growth and an increasing cash flow without the proper infrastructure resulted in major financial loss.

 

Fast forward two years down the road: in order to maintain and regroup, Eric got a job in corporate America. During this time, his Entrepreneurial spirit was bruised but not broken. Although he was thankful for the job, he knew that the most secure path to financial freedom was business ownership. In less than a year, Usher left that job for an opportunity in Entertainment Management.

 

Eric launched Ush Productions, an Event Planning and Production company. This venture placed him in the forefront of one of the top Promotion Companies in the U.S.; Jacob York Presents. Eric’s role as a key partnering liaison for Jacob York Presents led him to overseeing numerous high profile events and ventures. For several years he gained a wealth of knowledge in the multi-faceted world of entertainment.

 

In addition to helping his clients achieve their desired results in entertainment management and event promotion, Usher’s areas of expertise range from consulting business owners from the start-up phase, to marketing, to assisting clients with steady growth and sales.

 

Today Usher is, the CEO of a Networking App for Greek Letter Fraternity and Sorority Members nationwide, and the VP of Development for Electric Republic, a leading Independent film & management company known for "Brotherly Love," "Perfect Match" and many upcoming films. He enjoys his successes and realizes that his failures were necessary aspects of his growth and development. Eric strives to bring this unique life perspective to young adults all around the nation. He hopes that sharing his story will help individuals uncover their own passions so they can THRIVE.
